A Management Survey is an non intrusive visual inspection of your property. Samples can be taken however a Management Survey is not sufficient to enable any intrusive works into the fabric of the building (no matter how small).
If asbestos is disturbed, and you do not have an adequate Refurbishment or Demolition Survey, you could face prosecution by the HSE if you instructed the works, and worse end up with a criminal record.
Under Regulation 5 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations (2012), asbestos present within the scope of works must be identified, if no assessment (Refurbishment or Demolition) has been carried out, then asbestos must be presumed to be present.

We are also able to conduct Re-inspection Audits and Condition Monitoring. It is not enough to have located the asbestos within your property; under Regulation 4 'Duty to Manage', you are required to regularly inspect any known asbestos containing materials in your building (annually) and keep records up to date. It is recommended inspections should be carried out as part of your asbestos management plan.
